Job Summary

University of Kentucky is seeking candidates for a Lecturer, non-tenured track position in the Department of Nutrition & Food Science. This is a 9-month position.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate human nutrition and dietetics courses (typical instructional assignment for a Lecturer is the equivalent of three 3-credit courses per semester). Serve as DPD Director - directing program management, evaluations and improvement. Advise, mentor and assist students in dietetic education and internship applications. Communicate with external constituencies in regard to accreditation standards and activities.

Applicants must have proof of legal authority to permanently work in the United States.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Evidence of professional teaching experience is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sufficient to work effectively with diverse students and faculty are required. Familiarity with ACEND standards for dietetics education is highly desirable.  

Preferred Education / Experience

Master's Degree (PhD strongly preferred) in nutrition or closely related field is required. Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is required, with demonstrated professional work experience in dietetics. Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required.
