Position Description
Quality Assurance/Food Safety Supervisor
Maglio & Company, a wholesale
supplier of produce to the retail, foodservice and casual dining markets,
is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for our Milwaukee,
Wisconsin location. For over a century our company has been offering the
freshest and best produce of the day with old-fashioned, conscientious
quality and service.
Responsibilities include:
•
Facilitate and coordinate efficient and effective quality in a team
environment, including the development of high quality employees
• Consistently promote and maintain a safe work environment consistently
striving to ensure quality- focused programs that meet or exceed customer
expectations
• assist in delivering our competence of producing consistent and
measurably higher quality products
• Work closely with sales and plant operations in the areas of quality
program management, inspection coordination and testing requirements
• Implement necessary internal systems and infrastructure to support growth
• Ensure compliance to Food Safety standards
The right candidate
will be a self-starter with excellent leadership and communication skills.
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or related field
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus!
Desire a minimum of 5 years of quality assurance/quality control
experience, preferably within food processing
Strong leadership skills and ability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and planning skills

Compensation:
$30-$38k depending on experience
