Second Lawsuit Filed After Salmonella Outbreak

- An Omaha woman has filed a lawsuit against CW Sprouts, the Omaha company
associated with a recent salmonella outbreak. Amanda Monastersky
filed the lawsuit Monday in Douglas County District Court. It's
the second lawsuit filed against the company.
In
February, CW Sprouts agreed to a voluntary recall after state
health investigators traced salmonella reports to
sprouts distributed by the company. Monastersky's lawyer
questions what steps the company has taken to keep it's products safe.
Since the
initial reports, more than 100 salmonella cases in the midwest have been
tied to sprouts.
