Food and Safety Consultant
Quality Systems Enhancement - Roswell, GA

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Review all food safety management systems conforming to ISO 22000 standard requirements
  • Provide a GAP Analysis and pre-assessment to determine a companyís needs.
  • Document all food safety management processes
  • Train clients to develop and implement food safety management systems
  • Consult with clients and resolve their issues
  • Maintain a good working relationship with clients and suppliers
  • Redesign safety management systems according to client needs
  • Evaluate customer requirements to ensure and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Conducts food safety audits of client's facility
  • Provides technical training to management and employees at client's facility regarding the

adequacy of food safety program, pest control, operational methods and personnel practices,
maintenance for food safety and cleaning practices.

  • Communicates verbally to management on the level of food safety existing at the facility.
  • Prepares a written report for management, recapping all issues of observations and, if needed,

corrective actions that should be taken.

  • Develop a written program, with input from all levels of the organization.
  • Train staff in new policies and procedures, increasing their overall awareness.
  • Improve upon existing food safety practices and procedures.
  • Find solutions to challenges or barriers for implementing a standards scheme.
  • Troubleshoot food safety or traceability issues within an organizationís operation.
  • Set up documentation and proper record keeping procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation for pre-audits and audits with a certified registrar.
  • Provide ongoing support and new standards information as it evolves, specific to food categories

and industry sectors.

  • Source equipment, software and services such as lab testing.
  • The food safety auditor must be free to and capable of extensive travel.
