Description:
- Responsibilities include
implementation, maintenance and updates to facility HACCP program,
relevant quality systems and manufacturing practices
- Develop and conduct company
training encompassing food safety, SSOP’s, GMP’s and quality adherence
- Monitor all aspects of the
production process and product as relates to food safety, best
practices and product quality, recommend improvements in efficiency
and process as needed
- Effectively manage facility
proceedings to assure compliance against globally recognized audit
schemes – GFSI, NSF
- Lead HACCP team meetings,
encourage collaboration to drive improvements, innovations, and
solutions to issues resulting from internal and external audits.
- Act as the primary regulatory
contact to oversee government audits, and address issues raised by
onsite inspections. Communicate with company stake holders to effect
changes in policy and practices reflecting regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain labeling
in adherence to regulatory requirements, communicate labeling forms
used in Production. Provide guidance and training to department
administrators, supervising work performed for accuracy and timeliness
- Work with Operations
Management to develop and communicate clear expectations for all
personnel as they apply to food safety and process/product control
Requirements:
§ 5 years minimum experience in Quality Control /
Quality Assurance or related field
§ 3 years minimum experience in a food manufacturing
environment.
§ Bachelors of Science in Food Science, Microbiology,
other relevant education or experience preferred
§ Recently trained in HACCP principles through a
recognized organization
- Familiar with GFSI standards
and implementation
- Strong technology literacy or
aptitude (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Self-driven, able to work
independently and collaboratively
- Previous supervisory
experience preferred
