Works with a product development
scientist on a variety of assignments related to the development and
commercialization of new or improved infant formulas. Interacts with other
R&D functional areas to facilitate the Product Development process.
Good oral, written, computer and mathematical skills required. Ability to
multitask and attention to detail a must. Core Job Responsibilities: • Conducts routine procedures according to written and/or
verbal instructions • Completes run summaries and progress reports • Calculate expected results, performs unit conversions
and organizes data • Submits electronic requests through IRIS and LIMS • Submits manufacturing and ingredient requests for pilot
plant research • Coordinates ordering/release/inventory of non-commodity
ingredients • Weighs ingredients, prepares batches, and supports
production at the product research center
Skills/Experience Requirements
Basic Qualifications: 0 – 3 years technical work experience. Experience in
developing food/nutritional products a plus. A person may be hired at this
level right out of college with no background in industry. At this level
the person should demonstrate an in-depth understanding of scientific
principles commensurate with the undergraduate degree level, whether gained
through academic training or practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education Requirements
BS degree in a scientific or technical
discipline with 1-3 years progressive experience or a MS degree in a
scientific or technical discipline. Food Science or Chemistry preferred.
