Philippines: Food poisoning downs 5 in

MANILA, Philippines – At least five people were hospitalized in an apparent
case of food poisoning in the southern city of Cagayan de Oro, a radio report
Bombo Radyo reported that the five vomited and complained of stomach pains
after eating an ampalaya dish as breakfast Friday morning.
Rushed to a nearby hospital were Eduard Lago, 39; Gloria Mugot, 63; Wilma

The five were reported in stable condition at the Northern Mindanao Medical
Center as of noon, the report said.
Local health authorities are now trying to determine the cause of the
