We currently have a full-time
opening for a Food Chemist at our Cinnaminson, NJ
under the direction of a senior staff member, the candidate will be
primarily responsible for the sample preparation and testing of food
products for nutritional content and product safety.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively
measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of food products
routine analysis in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs
and complete all laboratory documentation in clear and accurate language
and maintain basic analytical equipment and instrumentation designated
for food analysis (will be trained)
calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtained
time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
a clean and safe laboratory work environment
MS or Ph D Degree in Organic Chemistry, Analytical
Chemistry, Food Science.
years hands on laboratory experience in either one of the following
heavy metals, minerals, colorants, Pesticides, Drug
Residue, antibiotics, vitamins, meats, and/or grains.
in quantitative analysis, trace analysis, method development, and sample
experience in food chemistry, food sample preparation and analysis
knowledge of wet chemistry techniques.
to complete data calculations including percents,
ratios and common algebraic formulae.
working with HPLC, LCMS, GC, GC/MS, ICP, ICP/MS, IC, TLC, NMR.
organizational and time management skills are necessary and able to multi
to work with little or no supervision in a fast-paced work environment
and interact effectively with all levels of staff
written and oral communication skills
