Job Description

Zwanenberg is seeking an individual interested in the Food Sciences arena whose primary responsibilities will be to ensure compliance with regulations, develop new programs, and participate in Quality related projects.

This position will be responsible for running taste panels, document development accurately, and collaborate with multiple groups internally and externally. Also, the Food Technologist will participate in SQF related issues.

The Food Technologist will maintain all SKU's, utilize industry specific computer systems (Genesis, R&D SQL, EZ Form Nutrition), in addition to other duties that may be assigned by management.


  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of USDA/HACCP regulations (including SSOP fundamentals) as well as FDA and GMPs. </Li>
  • Familiarity with SQF requirements necessary.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, along with the ability to write technical documents.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Food Engineering is preferred.
  • Prefer experience and/or knowledge of microbiology.
  • Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Candidate with professional level (2+ years) of experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership is important for this position's success.
