ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF FOOD SCIENCE - (041511/100100/21) - This is a full-time, 9 month, tenure track position in the Food Science Nutrition and Management Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching a broad offering of courses in Food Science; teaching at various levels within the discipline; remaining current in the field; recruiting and advising students as needed; posting and maintaining regular office hours; serving on faculty committees as assigned or elected; participating in professional development activities; attending regularly scheduled faculty meetings, department meetings, and other required meetings; assisting with departmental needs and development including outcomes assessment.

Position requires Ph.D. Food Science, Food Chemistry or Nutrition Science along with undergraduate teaching experience and food industry experience. Additional experience includes excellent oral and written communication skills; commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring; ongoing commitment to faculty development and scholarship. Background in food packaging a plus.
