Food Science Consultant to support nutrition, regulatory and product
labeling activities in the Nutrition & Regulatory Department. Job
Description: review of regulatory label graphics for technical
accuracy, evaluation of technical ingredient data, development of nutrition
and ingredient labeling, allergen assessment, nutritional calculations
and quality control. Specifically; *
Evaluate product formulations *
Evaluate raw materials *
Perform nutrition calculations *
Evaluate nutrition data for nutrient content claim substantiation *
Maintain nutrition information within database *
Respond to general nutrition and ingredient questions using the databases * Perform data
inquiries within the database *
Gather information for nutrition related reports and create nutrition reports *
File nutrition information, nutrient content claim substantiations, and other
information Requirements

B.S. in Nutrition, Food Science or related field. *
Detail oriented with good analytical skills * Strong
data & database organization skills *
Excellent written & verbal communication
