Director, Quality Assurance - Seafood Commodities and Value-Added Boston, MA

 

Lead the overall company mission of delivering premium quality products to all customers. Manage programs, systems, policies, processes, procedures, controls, laboratory and technical team.  Attain best-in-class supplier selection and performance, internal manufacturing levels and superior customer delivery.  FDA compliance, inspections, statistical process control analyses and audits.  Manage the global network of international suppliers through international quality standards, certifications and audit systems.  Supplier selection and evaluation with sourcing team.  Inspect raw material in-house and cold storage facilities throughout the US. 

 

SQF Level 3 Certification, HACCP, FDA inspections, GMPs and SSOPs.  Multiple processing and warehouse facilities.  Label requirements for new product development.  Work with all department heads.

 

Qualifications:

 

BS/BA degree.

7+ years’ experience, QA leadership in fresh and frozen seafood.

HACCP Certification, Food Safety, Plant Sanitation, SQF, FDA and OSHA Trained.

International Supplier Selection and Auditing.

30% travel domestically and internationally.
