group of school children have been admitted to Valachchenai hospital
following a suspected food poisoning incident after consuming breakfast. Police Spokesman SSP
Ranjith Gunasekara said at least 30 students, all are around eight years old
were admitted to the hospital due to food poisoning after consuming string
hoppers with dhal curry. However the condition
of the students is not life threatening, hospital sources said. Valachchenai police
and provincial health officials are conducting further investigations on the
incident. |
