TITLE: Sr. R&D Food Technologist
EDUCATION: BS/ MS Food/ Meat Science
X-FACTOR: BS Food Science or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience preferred. MS in Meat/ Food Science or related field plus a minimum of three years of relevant work experience preferred. Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time. Proven ability to manage multiple projects. Possess effective presentation skills.
DUTIES: • Development of new products and line extensions from bench top to commercialization. • Provide technical support for start up operations in production. • Formulate cost reduced versions of existing products. • Assist in the evaluation of new technology and processes. • Document all testing procedures and prepare recommended production procedures. • Interact with other departments such as QA, Production, Scheduling, and Marketing to assure a successful project. • Under minimal supervision, initiate projects and works on projects from other sources.
NOTE: This position may travel up to 40%.
