Food Scientist

Reports to

Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience

Director of Operations


1) Provide formulation technology training to the R&D team
2) Complete product development projects (concept through commercialization) within the required timelines and specifications
3) Maintain all project-related data
4) Provide scale-up support to ensure a successful transition to product commercialization
5) Lead R&D relationship with multiple accounts assigned
6) Oversee ongoing project deliverables, technical support, written reports, meeting attendance, status updates, etc.
7) Assess ongoing business-related R&D initiatives with customers
8) Take appropriate action to implement agreed-upon objectives and communicate with internal business partners
9) Solicit information regarding future product requirements with customers and share data with sales and marketing to collectively address future opportunities
10) Present innovative concepts and products for internal/external accounts on an ongoing basis
11) Coordinate and conduct training for internal employees to support the launch of new products or the upgrading of older procedures


1) Degree (4 year) in Food Science
2) Minimum 5 years of experience
3) Bakery formulation experience (bread and rolls)
4) Understanding of production side of bakery industry
