Senior Food Technologist



Reports to

Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience

R&D Manager


1) Provide formulation technology training to R&D team
2) Complete product development projects (concept through commercialization) within the required timelines and specifications
3) Maintain all project-related data as required
4) Provide scale up support to ensure a successful transition to product commercialization
5) Lead R&D relationship with multiple accounts as assigned and manage ongoing project deliverables, technical support, etc.
6) Assess ongoing business-related R&D initiatives with customers
7) Take appropriate action to implement agreed-upon objectives and communicate with internal business partners
8) Solicit information regarding future product requirements with customers and share data with sales and marketing to collectively address future opportunities
9) Present innovative concepts and products for internal/external accounts on an ongoing basis
10) Coordinate and conduct training for internal employees to support the launch of new products or the upgrading of older procedures
11) Collaborate with and provide technical leadership and/or support to Operations, Manufacturing, Customer Service and QA
12) Help with new product development and product maintenance activities like cost reductions, shelf-life stability studies, ingredient substitutions, etc.


1) Degree (4 year) in Food Sciences/Baking
2) 5-20+ years of experience
3) Experience/background with in bakery manufacturing and R&D
4) Familiarity in batches and batters a plus
5) Experience in new product development, cloning and experimentation
