Overview:

Position Summary

Develop new products, improve product quality and cost structure for Export business. Lead projects from concept to commercialization. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Development of new products and line extensions from bench top to commercialization.

· Provide technical support for startup operations in production.

· Formulate cost reduced versions of existing products.

· Assist in the evaluation of new technology and processes.

· Document all testing procedures and prepare recommended production procedures.

· Interact with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, QA, Production and Scheduling to assure a successful project.

· Under supervision, works on projects assigned.

Qualifications

· BS in Meat/Food Science or related field plus a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience preferred.

· MS in Meat /Food Science or related field plus a minimum of one year relevant work experience preferred.

· Enhance technical skills and personal improvement through completion of appropriate training.

· Strong writer and communication skills.

· Demonstrated project management skills while leading complex teams.

· May travel up to 40% of time.
