Safety Job Type : Full Time Job Description : DESCRIPTION: The Food Safety Manager
is the onsite food safety and regulatory authority at the facility. The
position has the primary responsibility of driving the food safety systems of
the plant by developing, modifying, and maintaining the plant’s HACCP, SSOP,
and regulatory programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
for the production of safe and wholesome food. RESPONSIBILITES: Develop, implement
and validate science based HACCP plans for each process within the facility;
Develop implement and validate science based Sanitation Standard Operating
Procedures for all areas and processes within the facility; Manage the
Regulatory function to ensure compliance with all FSIS Regulations, Directives,
and Policies; and Develop and implement training programs to instruct
employees to monitor and document HACCP, SSOP, and other required functions. Job Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS AND
REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or other related
field; 3+ years of progressive food processing experience within a
manufacturing environment under HACCP, USDA and/or FDA is a plus; 3+ years
facilitating food safety/quality related training events; Previous experience
with Global Food Safety Initiative recognized programs a plus; Strong
organizational, leadership and communication skills; Able to work with cross
functional departments within the organization; Good problem solving and
corrective action/resolution skills; and Strong computer skills with
experience using Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, SAP a plus. Career Level : Experienced
