Shift:
Kellogg Company has a new Food Safety Manager position available in
Memphis, Tennessee. The Food Safety Manager ensures the development,
compliance, and certification of HACCP and other food safety programs
for a specific manufacturing location and ensures the facility delivers
the required standards of food safety according to Kellogg policies,
procedures, and practices.
Additional responsibilities include:
Responsible to manage facility
inspections, traceability, testing, vendor auditing, and microbial
program compliance.
Responsible for the delivery of
continuous improvement and working with Corporate Quality in the
execution of company programs.
Deliver these accountabilities
through direct involvement with manufacturing support personnel.
Responsible to ensure Microbial
program compliance and sanitation compliance.
Accountable for allergen program
management and compliance.
Ensure key traceability, inspection
program management, vendor management, and microbial program metrics
are established, and the delivery of the established metrics and Key
Performance Indices.
Ensure adherence to required food
safety laws, regulations, corporate policies and practices.
Responsible for vendor management
related to food safety.
Ensures the facility meets all
required food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
Responsible for food safety
accountability for all hours of operation.
Responsible for allergen program
management for the facility.
Accountable for Hazard Analysis and
Critical Control Point & food safety training for the facility to
ensure compliance and execution of required programs.
Responsible for compliance with all
regulations. Food Safety � plant in proper sanitary condition at all times,
including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed.
Compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for MCRS� (Management
Control Report System) sustainability: Ensure achievement of all area /
shift KPIs; ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of all area
/ shift MCRS� elements.
Responsible for supporting the
execution of relevant projects within assigned area / shift.
Responsible for supporting talent
management process for hourly employees. Ensure Diversity and Inclusion
meets / exceeds corporate standards. Proactively engage in the
development and training of hourly labor and support such plans
developed by plant leadership.
Maintain understanding of processes
and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as needed,
those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve, plant
performance.

Job Requirements
Bachelor�s of Arts degree
in food science, microbiology, or equivalent and 5 to 7 years
experience in quality & food safety is required.
Candidate minimum qualifications:
Previous Hazard Analysis and Critical
Control Point certification program design and implementation is
required.
Thorough technical knowledge of
quality & food safety is required.
Strong written & verbal
communication skills, analytical ability, leadership strengths and
ability to work effectively with a team are required.
Computer software skills to include
Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Candidate preferred qualifications:
Food processing and packaging is
desired.
Experience in managing processes is
preferred.
Computer skills required�Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Incumbent must be able to work within timelines and in pressure
situations.
This position may require approximately 5% travel and work/maintenance
coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.
