Director of Quality Assurance – Seafood - Fresh /
Frozen - Boston Importers,
distributors and manufacturers of fresh, frozen and premium value-added
seafood products. Manage,
develop, establish and maintain quality assurance programs, systems, policies,
processes, procedures and controls ensuring that performance and quality of
products conform to established standards and agency requirements to ensure
customer and regulatory satisfaction and integrity. Lead overall corporate mission of delivering
premium quality seafood to all our customers.
Attain best-in-class supplier selection and performance, internal
manufacturing levels and superior customer compliance. Interpret
and implement governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies
to assure compliance to FDA and SQF. Inspections,
statistical process control analyses and audits. Manages QA
for a global network of international suppliers, international quality
standards, certifications, audit systems. Inspections
of raw material in-house and public cold storage facilities. Supplier
selection and evaluation with sourcing team, in ensuring compliance with
specifications Procedures and systems to ensure all facilities are
incompliance with sanitization, SQF Level Three Certification, GMPs and SSOPs
including inspections of 10 warehouse and 4 Processing facilities throughout
the US. Manage HACCP program including
FDA inspection. New product development meets the label requirements. Manage 2 QA Managers and QA/QC Techs in
multiple locations. Reports to: COO Qualifications: BS/BA
degree. 7+ years experience QA leadership in fresh and/or frozen
seafood. HACCP
Certification, Food Safety, Plant Sanitation, SQF, FDA and OSHA Trained. Ability to
travel domestically and internationally – minimum 30%. |
