Our client is the Global Leader in the quality manufacturing
of Foods, Beverages and Ingredients sold to Food and Beverage Companies
across the world.
They are
actively looking for a Confectionary Food Scientist with a focus on
chocolate related projects.
This
experienced Food Scientist will develop new confectionary and chocolate
products using internal and external resources to deliver products within
time, taste, functionality, cost and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities will extend to defining specifications and standards for
finished products and interaction with key customers.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage
a project portfolio of project related to Confectionary/Chocolate and
Cereal products
Develop new products and applications for confectionary products
Develop relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
Plan
and document plant trials for the successful commercialization of new
products
Critically evaluate flavors and ingredients to develop great tasting
products
Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
Manage
the development process to ensure complete transparency and trace ability
of work.
Critically evaluate suppliers to determine the best and most cost effective
ingredients
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should have a bachelors degree in Food Science, or related field
and take a hands on approach to the development process.
Must
have 3+ years of hands-on, confection and chocolate R&D experience.
At
least 3 years of experience working cross functionally within R&D, QA,
Marketing, Culinary and Production
Experience working directly with clients
Good
working knowledge of confectionary and cereal ingredient functionality
Experience taking new products from concept through to test and final
implementation.
Excellent project management, communication and presentation skills.
