Job Summary

Exciting opportunity for a Food Safety Intern at UL Everclean!

If you are currently enrolled and accruing coursework for a Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field and have:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and grow relationships;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment; and
  • Computer skills; including building spreadsheets and inputting data on Excel.

Job Responsibility

UL Everclean is a third-party food safety audit and training firm which conducts food safety sanitation inspections at restaurants, grocery chains, hotels, airports and food establishments within large venues. The audit team is responsible for auditing and training clients on food safety practices. The Food Safety auditors utilize an educational consultative approach to conducting inspections to inspire clients to adopt best practices to maintain safe and clean kitchens. The Food Safety team prepares reports for clients regarding audit observations and recommendations.

  • Learn how to input food safety audits
  • Learn how to do numerous Food Safety tasks and special projects
  • Assist with high-level analytical reports for clients
  • Develop the ability to identify and update client information online
  • Learn company intranet and shared drive systems
  • Participate in field audits (on special occasions or at final stage of internship)
  • Contribute to monthly food safety newsletter
  • Assist in maintaining the brand-to-brand connection between the client and Everclean

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled and accruing coursework for a Bachelor's degree in environmental-related field
