POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for assisting in
the development and rollout of new bakery products. This will include
concept design, lab samples and first production runs. Duties include: •
Applying sound scientific methods in all stages of development – planning
and executing trials, analyzing data, and defining significant next
steps; • Interaction with other departments – sales, operations, process
development, commercialization, and customers to successfully create
bakery systems leading to new business; • Focusing on product development
projects, - coordinating development issues with other departments,
refining current formulations, maintaining formulation methods; •
Developing and/or reviewing labels for nutritional value and ingredient
deck accuracy.
Experience: • 10+ years experience in Food
Manufacturing, Quality or Operations; • 5+ years
experience in cookie, cracker, and/or nuts Research &
Development; • Must have the ability to coach and train in these areas,
including statistical process and control tools and techniques; •
Efficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; • Strong
interpersonal and communication skills; • Willing to travel up to 40-60%
