Develops and executes needed project direction
and activities that allow for the successful introduction of products.
1. Executes projects and experimentation: *Prepares experiment format for project executions. *Prioritizes experiments in conjunction with immediate supervisor. *Conducts, evaluates sensory testing. *Executes experiments following SOP’s or by developing
newmethodologies as required. *Conducts statistical analysis. *Records experiment parameters and results in lab book. *Appraises immediate supervisor of results. *Makes experiment/project conclusions, summaries,
recommendationsand changes to plan. *Executes analytical tests. *Supervises assigned department personnel. 2. Contributes to project execution: *Develops project execution needs in conjunction with immediate
supervisor. *Appraises immediate supervisor of additional project requirements
during project execution. 3. Coordinates plant scale tests: *Prepares necessary ingredients for plant scale test. *Sets up and conducts meeting with plant representatives. *Communicates objectives, special needs, accept/reject criteria to
plant representatives. *Oversees plant scale test operation by the plant personnel. *Makes product performance “Call” during plant scale test. *Prepares written assessment of plant scale test proceedings and
results as related to product. *Assist in process optimization projects with Technical Services. 4. Works with current and potential vendors/customers. 5. Develops SOP’s in written form for review by immediate
B.S. in food science or food-related sciences (microbiology,
chemistry, nutrition) is required. One year of food industry experience is required; 2 or more years
of food industry experience is preferred. Good written and oral communication skills are necessary. Sensory skills and computer knowledge would be beneficial.
