HYDERABAD: A group of MBA students from Bangalore were admitted to Gandhi Hospital on Friday following symptoms of food poisoning

As many as 86 MBA final year student of New Horizon College of Engineering in Bangalore came to Hyderabad on Wednesday for an industrial tour. The students and faculty members checked into Sai Krupa Hotel at Chikkadpally. As part of the tour, on Thursday, the team visited a soft drinks factory and then went to the Golconda Fort. In the wee hours of Friday, 16 persons, including students and two children of one of the faculty members, started vommiting and suffered dysentery.

"By afternoon on Friday four students were discharged. Twelve others are still undergoing treatment. Their condition is stable,'' Satyanarayana said.

However, Chikkadpally police registered a case under Section 269 (negligently doing any act known to be likely to spread infection of any disease dangerous to life) of the IPC against Sai Krupa Hotel management.

GHMC health sanitation wing officials collected food and water samples from hotel for examination.
