Internship - Partnership for Food Safety Educ - Arlington, VA
Partnership for Food Safety Education
The non-profit Partnership for Food Safety Education has an immediate opening for an intern interested in being closely involved in a project that will focus on the ways government, industry, health and consumer non-profit organizations work together toward common goals. The intern will be involved in a new initiative related to building Partnership organizational capacity and the development of a national strategic plan in food safety education. This is an excellent opportunity for students with a strong interest in private-public sector health-oriented coalitions and in health communications.
The intern will be part of a small project team working on:
" design and execution of communications initiatives involving national project stakeholders " the compilation and synthesis of information from stakeholders " development of expert meetings " maintaining and using a relationships database " social media outreach, surveys and polls of core stakeholders " other duties related to the Partnership's consumer education programs " administrative duties as assigned
This is an unpaid internship with a small housing stipend. The internship duration is flexible, but a minimum of five weeks' commitment is required. Ideally, we would like an intern to begin by mid-February. A part-time internship is possible.
