Job Description

Wants: * BS Food Science and 2 or more years of product development with a strong empahsis in dough/bakery; 4 or more years as project manager, team leader and/or group leader working with mid to senior level professionals on technically complex projects OR MS Food Science with a minimum 6 years or PhD with minimum 3 years. * Strong product development, product commercialization (PLC), and project management skills. * Excellent communication skills and influence management skills. * Work independently with minimal supervision. * Handle multiple projects and assignment. * Develop project schedules. * Match skills and abilities of people with tasks to be accomplished. * Proficient in standard software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software, report writing. * Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

DUTIES: * Plans, manages, and conducts complex product research projects. Works on multiple interdisciplinary projects, sets direction for how projects are carried out, plans timetables, identifies and organizes project team, coordinates other resources to achieve goals, implements plan and monitors progress. * Conducts research and gains thorough understanding and knowledge of state of the art and emerging technologies in product and ingredient development. Champions and leads the development and implementation of new product and ingredient. * Collaborates with cross-functional team on implementing new product or process improvement and cost savings. * Develops and proposes new project/product ideas or new and innovative methodologies or ways of using technology to solve problems. Predicts issues and researches areas likely to increase or decrease in importance or to develop into a crisis. * Serves as expert (center of excellence) for the corporation to help educate the corporation on company's current and future product and process capability/versatility and provide product solutions. * Provides know how and hands on execution of projects leading to improved margins and production efficiencies. * Performs other related responsibilities, as needed to support business objectives. * Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and external customers in the areas of product features and benefits, product solutions, and ingredient functionality.
