Associate Director of Quality and Food Safety



: Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and Food Safety Management System assuring WAH alignment to parent company requirements.


Customer support on all Food Safety related inquiries and Food Industry awareness protecting company assets.


Direct communication and leadership as related to process improvement awareness.


Job Duties:

1. QMS . Assist Sr. Director in leading necessary maintenance, changes and implementing new processes within the ISO Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS). Provide direct leadership and training associated with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 (ISO 22000/PAS 220) . Internal audit planning, tracking and follow up to ISO standard compliance . Organize, plan and oversee external audits for US, Canada and China


2. Food Safety . Monitor trends and implement industry food safety certifications and requirements . Assess and direct all customer inquiry and communication as related to Food Safety . Assist in the leadership of Food Safety awareness . Top line verification of HACCP plans as related to FSSC 22000


3. Global (Affiliated Holdings) . Assure alignment of processes and ISO parent company requirements are maintained . Compiles business knowledge and internal quality programs representing Quality . Maintains inter-office records and files for Quality . Direct WILD global requirements for ISO and Food Safety


Background Requirements:

1. Minimum B.S. in Food Science or related scientific technical degree.


 2. Preferred minimum ten (10) years experience in Quality Management or relevant scientific area.


3. Understanding of GFSI and Food Safety Regulations


4. High degree of proficiency with PC based Microsoft software packages, such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and Outlook


5. Excellent analytical, problem solving and statistical skills


6. Excellent leadership, inter-personal skills and management


7. Excellent organizational, communication and presentations skills


8. Detail oriented with high level efficiency to meet tight deadlines


9. Ability to multi-task leading several key projects at a time
