Quality Assurance Manager / Food Safety Job Description:
A coffee company in the Seattle area is
currently interviewing for a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager.
JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, the QA/Food Safety Manager will be responsible for leading
on-going management in food safety and quality programs to insure the quality
and integrity of products produced and packaged at the facility.
JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee procedures for compliance purposes, including cleaning schedules,
product sampling procedures, quality measurements, and record keeping.
- Maintain, revise, and update the company Quality Assurance manual
- Develop and maintain a HACCP Plan for all food operations and act as HACCP
Team Leader.
- Manage and enhance the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and
ensure correct documentation of cleaning.
- Interact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies during audits
- Interface with food safety certification bodies and third-party food safety
auditors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Food Science or other
science related field
- 7 + years of experience in food processing/manufacturing
- Demonstrated leadership in food safety and quality assurance
- 5 + years of facilitating food safety/quality related training events
- HACCP certification
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Shift: Monday - Friday; day shift
- Salary: depends upon experience
- No relocation available
