Quality Engineer – Richvale, CA Lundberg
Family Farms is seeking an experienced individual to fill its Raw Material Quality
Engineer position. This position is responsible for delivering product
quality, food safety, regulatory requirements and productivity to meet
customer/consumer expectations and business needs, primarily focusing on
ingredients and packaging. Responsible for ensuring consistent and functional
materials are delivered and utilized in manufacturing and for championing
proactive finished product quality and process improvements through applying
technical mastery of ingredient production/handling processes, packaging
science, manufacturing platforms, quality engineering principals and sensory
science. The
successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science,
Engineering or a related technical field. Qualified candidates should possess
at least three (3) years’ experience in a food manufacturing/quality
assurance, control capacity environment with two (2) years supervisory
experience. Must also possess demonstrated expertise in implementing quality
and food safety programs such as HACCP, GMP’s, Sanitation, allergen control
and trace/recall, a thorough knowledge of quality engineering principals
(i.e., SPC) and experience implementing general wet and dry chemical
laboratory procedures. Candidates should be excellent communicators in both
written and oral formats and be pro-active and collaborative at all levels of
