Help drive sales by having what guests want, when they want it, where they shop. Play a role in the buying and planning process, including goal setting, trend analysis and advertising.


Purpose

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the organization and maintenance of all Owned Brand Food vendor food safety and product quality data in the database and documentation files. Coordinate efforts with the food vendors to ensure that the most current and accurate information is available for the Food Safety & QA Specialists to review. Coordinate reporting of food safety metrics, vendor information, and item information. Work in concert with the Specialists on prompt resolution of product quality and food safety issues.

  • Maintaining and managing data integrity and robustness of vendor database by keeping food safety information current. Reviewing documentation for completeness and interfaces with vendors to clarify data. Performing all data entry and purging functions
    • For new projects: filing and entering vendor and facility information
    • For active vendors: maintaining all updated food safety information (audits, HACCP, etc.)
    • For items: maintaining and updating all item related information in the Owned Brand Database
  • Driving improvement to streamline and implement effective data entry processes and time points among the food safety team
  • Developing reporting necessary to communicate food safety information status to the Specialists and/or upper management, including:
    • Food safety metrics
    • Vendor food safety information – audit performance, Red-Yellow-Green (RYG status), etc.
    • Facility food safety information – RYG status, metal detection, etc.
    • Item food safety information – Number of new items added
  • Managing document files for specific certifications (organic, Kosher, etc.); active items; and vendors to ensure that files are complete and contain all required documentation
  • Working in concert with the Food Safety & QA Specialists for prompt resolutions of specific food safety or product quality issues with vendors

Reporting/Working Relationships:


Reports to Sr. Specialist Food Safety & Quality Assurance Vendor Audits. Supports all activities related to the food safety and product quality data maintenance. Works with the Owned Brand Food Safety and Quality Assurance Team.

  • Internal: Owned Brand Food Safety & Quality Assurance team; Manager, Vendor Sourcing
  • External: Works directly with Owned Brand vendors; and external audit and inspection services.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 year Associate Degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • High aptitude for attention to detail
  • Self - motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with team
  • Comfortable with maintenance activities and data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Outlook, Word, Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Food Quality/Safety technical duties.
  • High energy level
