As a Client Service Coordinator you will act as the primary contact for clients and act as a liason between the client and laboratory team.  You will clearly identify the client's needs and communicate that to Covance personnel.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform as client contact point person on assigned accounts. Project management of samples under accounts of responsibility. 
  • Acts as a primary contact for major and minor Covance Food and Drug Analysis clients.
  • Defines and clarify client requirements and communicates information to the operational groups.
  • Provides technical information regarding Food and Drug analysis testing capabilities.
  • Acts as project or team leader responsible for coordinating different areas or work teams within Nutritional Chemistry as required to satisfy client demands.
  • Knows and understand sample accession, opening, posting, and entering of samples.
  • Identifies problems involving client requirements and Covance abilities and works with appropriate staff to resolve them.
  • Performs account maintenance duties including answering questions concerning the status of samples and assisting in negotiation of solutions to problems during the sample testing process.
  • Perform review of assigned accounts and products as required by external/internal clients.
  • Insure accuracy of COA (Certificate of Analysis) as well as insuring accuracy of invoices prior to client submittal.

 

Education/Qualifications

  B.S. or B.A. in a scientific related field is required. Experience may be substituted for education.

  Nutritional chemistry background helpful.

  Knowledge of scientific instruments and methodology required.

  Excellent customer service skills including attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and communication skills.

  Strong oral and written communication skills.

  Ability to use a variety of computer applications and proficient at the department specific software used. (NIMS)

  Demonstrates commitment to Excellence in Client Services.

  Good documentation skills.

  Effective conflict resolution skills.

  Working knowledge of computers and basic departmental software (NIMS, Microsoft Suites, etc.)

  Client service phone etiquette experience.

 

Experience

  1-2 years relevant experience.  Work experience as customer service. 

  Excellent customer service skills.

  Ability to identify and communicate client’s service needs.
