Food Scientist (Meat) Evansville, IN

Producer of leading national, regional, and private label processed meats.  Products sold through retail, club, convenience, and foodservice channels.  Strategically positioned for continued growth!

Build an R&D program from the ground up! Lead new product design, planning, development & commercialization efforts. Responsibilities will include raw meat fabrication and value added product development; interaction with various customers and sales staff; costing; least cost formulation; formulation/re-formulation; functional extension development; cross departmental coordination; and technical assistance to operations. This position will have both a technical and operational focus, and reports to the General Manager.


Ideal Candidates will possess:


- 3+ years R&D experience in a cooked meat environment.

- BS Meat Science.


Preferred Qualifications:


- HACCP and Food Safety experience.

- SQF experience.
