We serve the leaders in the foodservice
industry from the largest national chains to single location

King, Jack in the Box, White Castle, KFC, Carrabba's,
Applebee's, Chili's, and other leading chains.
This position will lead Food Quality
& Food Safety processes and programs for RTI distribution facilities
across the nation, including the development, implementation, and ongoing
management of a program that is compliant with the Global Food Safety
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)
Identify needs, develop new processes, and implement program
at all RTI sites across the nation
Develop and maintain all documentation to support new
Long-term management of program
Manage third-party audit process
Compile results and ensure corrective actions are completed
Report results to customers, as required
Complete internal audits at all RTI sites across the nation,
and certify managers to do the same
Manage relationships and, where necessary, improve processes
QA departments for customers and suppliers
Pest control companies
Food Quality & Food Safety training
Facilitate training, development, and implementation of quality
Develop thorough materials suitable for training of RTI
Manage process to ensure regular training conducted with all
Update training materials annually to keep them fresh and
Manage compliance with regulatory agencies and programs
relative to FDA, HACCP, GMP's, FSMA, GFSI, etc.
Manage online FDA registrations for all RTI facilities
Improve Crisis Management Program and manage it going
Handle day to day QA issues:
Customers – investigate/compile/assess all complaints, then
update processes to improve on-going performance.
Suppliers – investigate/compile/assess all issues with
incoming product, then coordinate corrective actions to improve suppliers’
Manage product specification documentation with suppliers
Work with Supply Chain to improve process for procuring
products from a new supplier or existing supplier
COA/Receiving specification forms
Review third-party audits of suppliers
Track, review details of, and follow-up on issues associated
with Mock Recalls conducted by RTI facilities. When necessary, conduct
further training on mock recall process
Travel as required, up to 50% overall and including some
full weeks, to lead or participate in any of the duties and
responsibilities listed above.
Assist with food handling equipment activities:
Monitor equipment calibration process/results for compliance
Create equipment reliability report for all customers.
Identify equipment reliability trends and assist in
identifying root causes
Capture and assess results of internal repairs at RTI
Assist in management of equipment field tests through test
site results tracking.
4 year Bachelor's degree from a
college or university in Food Safety, Food Science or other related field.
Minimum of 7 years experience in
demonstrated leadership in food safety and quality assurance.
Experience facilitating food safety and quality related
Possess a thorough understanding of HACCP and SQF.
Extensive travel required, up to 50%
overall and including some full weeks, to lead or participate in audits,
training, and visits to customers or suppliers.
ASQ certification as HACCP Manager/Auditor (or ability to
gain certification within a year).
Working knowledge of GFSI standards and processes.
Six Sigma, TQM, and/or Continuous Improvement a plus.
Base Salary plus Bonus potential
