Job Description :

The Food Safety Specialist has the primary responsibilty of maintaining and assisting in implementation of the food safety systems of the plant. These systems include but are not limited to the plant's HACCP, SSOP and prerequisite programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the production of safe and wholesome food. The Food Safety Specialist will also maintain and develop tracking and trending of food safety programs related data to propagate a proactive approach to food safety.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor of Science degree
3 years experience in the meat industry
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
HACCP Certification

Analytical Skills
Knowledge of statistical process controls
Technical knowledge of the meats and proteins
Ability to prioritize projects and set goals

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Career Level : Entry Level

Education : Bachelor's Degree
