True Blue
Processing is currently looking for a highly motivated and dependable
individual with experience or background in agriculture to work as a Food
Safety Coordinator and Inventory Specialist. Located in Grand Junction,
True Blue Processing is a large and still-growing family-owned and operated
blueberry grower and processor. The qualified applicant will be a
self-starter, have a strong work ethic, be able to work with little
supervision, have great attention to detail, be customer and grower
oriented, be able to identify various operational needs and implement
policies and procedures to meet those needs. It is necessary for this individual
to be a strong writer and have the ability to successfully multi-task on
extremely busy days during the season. Getting along with co-workers and
being a team player, as well as a leader in some situations, is essential.
The following skills and abilities are desired to be successful in this
position: farm/field food safety programs/GAP, MAEAP (MI Agriculture
Environmental Assurance Program), HACCP-food safety programs (Hazard
Analysis & Critical Control Points), pesticide use/pesticide certification
in Michigan, water and soil sampling techniques, experience conducting
internal inspection and 3rd-party audit type work. Project management
skills are desirable, as well as experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and
Outlook. The person hired will also be responsible for updating the plant
processing program and acting as the subject matter expert for the company.
This is a Full Time position. Salary will commensurate with experience and
benefits are negotiable.
