manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based desserts. The Company's first
North American operation is located in Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce
fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice
cream and bakery manufacturers. We currently have an opening for an Incoming Goods
Technician. The person hired for this position will spend a considerable
amount of time at the Plymouth, Indiana facility for training and will then
once fully trained, be assigned to work at the VP Warehouse in Ft. Wayne and
there may be occasional work opportunities at the Plymouth facility. This position will report to the Lab Lead and the
Director of Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in quality control and computers and will possess a general
knowledge of GMP regulations, Good Laboratory Practices, or comparable Quality
or Laboratory standards. This position will be responsible for the standard
inspection of incoming food products to ensure conformance to specifications
and quality requirements. This position will also verify documentation and
conformance to requirements of purchased materials,
will provide support to the purchasing department for resolving vendor
compliance issues. Strong attention to detail is critical to this position.
Experience with inspection and analytical techniques, reading and understanding
written specifications and familiarity with office based computer software
and a LIMS system would be beneficial. The hourly pay range will commensurate with experience
and we require one of the following education/skill levels in a science
related field: High School Diploma – Must have 4 to 5 years of Quality
Control Experience. This position involves a fast-paced manufacturing
environment that will require strong written and verbal communication skills,
good decision making ability, strong attention to detail and schedule
flexibility. This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing up
to 50 lbs and to perform work with little
supervision. Occasional overtime and weekend work would be required. Zentis offers
