Kellogg's has an exciting opportunity in Omaha, NE for a Quality & Food Safety Intern. The position consists of the following:

1. Obtain a general understanding of the different RTEC processes.

2. Support Daily up keep of Quality documentation-Certificate of Analysis, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) forms and operator logs

3. Assistance with mirco samples while assist with the highest possible housekeeping standard to prevent microbial contamination.
4. Assist master list of all swab locations and results.

4. Assist in updating all production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Standard Operating Condition's (SOCs)

5. Support growth and development of HACCP programs.

6. Perform routine audits of quality programs and provide analysis of findings.

7. Support test and implementation of current/new product initiatives.

8. Support cost reduction initiatives.

9. Perform analysis of data collected from various quality related programs-Product Evaluation Systems/Business Warehouse

10. Support Ideate Continuous Improvement ideas for quality and food safety systems.

Job Requirements

The intern must be able to effectively deal with all plant employees.

Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to meet deadlines.

Must maintain confidential and proprietary information.

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skill.

Efficient personal computer skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point Attention and interpersonal skills are a must.

Candidate can be entering into Freshmen through Senior year at an accredited institution. Graduate candidates will be considered. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Strong Food Science major or completed coursework in Food Science.

Ideal candidate will be open to part time hours during the school semester and full time hours during summer.
