Requirements:
- B.S. in Food Science or
related field required and 2-5 years of R&D / Technical Services
/ QA experience.
- Strong working knowledge of
food ingredients, packaging and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Must enjoy working in a fast paced and team
oriented environment
- PC / internet skills
(Outlook, Excel, Word, database) and the ability to create
spreadsheets, computer analysis, report writing.
Duties:
- Develop experimental
formulas, processing procedures and specifications for new products.
Prepare prototypes using research lab, manufacturing facilities and
equipment as required. Fulfill internal & external sample
requests. Includes performing product cuttings and shelf life studies,
researching product standards and attributes and reviewing and
interpreting analysis by third parties if needed.
- Maintain accurate and
up-to-date records, laboratory notebooks and computer database that
are repeatable and reproducible. Includes logging and updating
status on sample requests, NPC and R&D projects & reports
onto I2D worksite.
- Create and manage raw
ingredient, manufacturing and product specifications. Includes
requesting product information and other related technical
documentation from suppliers, creating internal specifications,
reviewing and distributing any updates to current product
specifications.
- Create, maintain and issue
technical documents, product specifications and kosher certificates.
Maintain internal and external technical web-based database and
complete customer product forms. Includes entering and updating data
in Agile PLM Global Spec Management database.
- Issue import and export
documents such as Certificates of Origin, Free Sale, Quality, NAFTA,
CAFTA.
- Assist R&D, Technical
Services, QA and Operations on special projects.

Salary: $60K to $85K
