immediate opening for an Chemist Lab Technician (Food Science) on a Long
Term (Open ended) Contract opportunity with a leading company in
Marysville, Ohio
Position Description:
The Chemist Lab Technician will be assisting project leaders in laboratory
and pilot plant studies. Part of their responsibility will be to maintain a
quality and safe laboratory environment as well as adhering to quality
compliance standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with Quality Systems and all other company policies and procedures
- Keep lab clean and in good order
- Assist with pilot plant trials: Weight ingredients, analyze samples,
assist in setting up analytical and microbio
requests
- Arrange and conduct product evaluations: Maintain stability testing
process, keep/maintain storage inventory, conduct and document physical
analysis, schedule and conduct flavor evaluation sessions
- Conduct bench and midscale lab trials at the direction of project leaders
- Arrange shipment of samples and materials out of the lab using proper
record keeping and quality procedures
Position Requirements:
- Associates (Bachelors Preferred) in Chemistry or Food Science (Preferred)
- Minimum of two years of college lab environment experience
- Good communication skills
- Results focused
- Knowledge of dispersion systems preferred (not required)
Shift: 1st shift - Monday through Friday
Contract type: Open ended long term contract
