SUMMARY: This position is responsible for
directing consistent, effective food safety and quality programs at
facilities that manufacture products for Tyson Case Ready division.
Responsibilities include developing and administering programs to ensure
product quality through consistent performance to customer specifications,
regulatory and company requirements, and food safety guidelines. The
position duties include recruiting, overseeing and approving entry level
recruits, intradepartmental transfers, and promotions associated with Case
Ready, analyzing trends in quality deviations, and prescribing solutions.
Other responsibilities include: preparing, distributing, and revising FSQA
procedures for Case Ready processing facilities; submitting recommendations
for company programs; evaluating information on hold/release issues;
reviewing and ensuring compliance of all applicable government food
regulations; consulting and conferring with customers on specifications,
questions, and/or concerns; performing other responsibilities as the needs
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a discipline directly
related to the job such as Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, etc.
Experience: 10+ years of experience.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including generating simple
letters, spreadsheets and/or graphics for personal business use or creating
simple queries and simply formatted data output using a fourth generation
language. If using a Tyson Business Computer System, job requires an
understanding of the system features and functionality and how to use these
Supervisory: Responsible for managing personnel who perform diverse
task sand activities in more than one department.
