Microbiology and Food Safety Manager Job Description:
Aerotek Scientific, a national leader
in scientific staffing, is currently recruiting for a Direct Hire
Microbiology and Food Safety Manager for our premier food client in the
Kansas City area.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Microbiology and Food Safety Manager will oversee the entire
Microbiological testing program for the food laboratory and will also be
the main point of contact for external laboratories in regards to
Microbiological testing.
The Microbiology and Food Safety Manager will conduct research strategy,
project delegation, and strict timeline follow up for both Analytical
Research and Microbial Research for the food industry.
In addition, the Microbiology and Food Safety Manager will be directly
involved in ensuring the most innovative research with the most advanced
technology and techniques is being conducted within the Microbiological R
& D team.
This individual will be known as the technical expert within
Microbiological Research and will be a point of contact for the Global
Strategic Team.
The Microbiology and Food Safety Manager MUST possess an expertise in
microbiological research within food systems and MUST have proven ability
to manage Quality and R & D Scientific Laboratories.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Advanced degree in Microbiology or related discipline is required.
5-10 years of food industry experience in microbiological research and in
managing a large microbiological lab.
Proven expertise in providing technical leadership for innovative and
advanced microbiological techniques within food systems.
Knowledgeable in chemistry analytical research within food systems.
Ability to be the driving force in the strategic planning, delegation, and
follow up of analytical and microbiological research labs.
Strong communication skills and exposure to communication at a global
level.
