The
Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Director of Food Safety &
Quality for a large Food Manufacturing Facility located near Bakersfield,
CA.
Job Overview:
•Build organization to
drive performance improvement in Food Safety processes and product quality
results.
•Establish customer relationships through customer site visits
and site tours, focus on improved quality assurance during product life
cycle. •Manage and report on all regulatory/environmental compliance items;
support through quality inspections and audits. •Manage all 3rd party
and regulatory audit programs. Audit HACCP, ISO, Lab accreditations,
and GMP compliance. •Develop high performance quality assurance team that
drives quality system initiatives and ensures sustainability. •Execute
administrative responsibilities. Capabilities & Competencies:•Technical skills:
–Leverages understanding of value drivers and technical limits to
identify/prioritize improvements. –Helps others apply core operating system
concepts (e.g., Quality system, FMEA, CPk) to solve problems. –Working
knowledge of Lean / CI tools: Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen
events/workshop approach, VOC, etc. •Capability building: –Acts to improve
organizational capability and effectiveness. –Seeks out opportunities to
stretch beyond role. –Creates chances for others, encourages risk-taking.
•Mindsets and behaviors: –Strong external customer focus and relationship
manager. –Addresses roadblocks creatively and constructively. –Looks to
improve operations and safety in tandem. •Performance management: –Leads
performance review discussions in Quality. –Identifies initiatives to reach
targets, measures their impact and adjusts.Supervises:•Manager, Technical

Job Requirements:
Qualified Candidates for the Director of Food Safety & Quality position
MUST HAVE a 4-Year
BS/BA Degree with at least 5 years of recent/current experience within a VP
and/or Director level Food Safety and/or Quality role within a Food
Manufacturing Facility. Candidates with a USDA (Meat,
Beef. Pork, Poultry, etc.) are highly desired and will
receive first consideration. ONLY
candidates with current Director and/or VP level Food Safety / Quality
