George Weston Bakeries is now part of Bimbo Bakeries USA. We are a 4
billion dollar fresh baked goods company with such brands as Arnold,
Thomas, Entenmann's, Tia Rosa, Bimbo, Freihofer's, Stroehmann, Marinela,
Boboli, Mrs. Bairds and more. Currently we are looking for a Food Safety
Manager in our Easton, PA facility.
•Responsible for department safety, as well as plant associate safety as a
member of the Bakery Leadership Team, leader of the Facility Safety
Inspection Program, participant in the Safety Rules and Procedures
•Responsible for all Food Safety programs including HACCP and all
associated record keeping.
•Responsible for ingredient and packaging receiving, including
acceptability of materials
•Responsible for sanitation training of supervisors and hourly associates.
•Responsible for ensuring GMP requirements are adequately met and
maintained plant wide
•Responsible for the plant Food Defense program.
•Responsible for the Sanitation department and the sanitation of the
o Associated financial responsibilities (departmental budget,
schedules, supplies, outside services, labor, etc.)
o Updating of SSOPs
•Responsible for the Master Sanitation Schedule
•Responsible for Plant Wide Food Safety inspections, including development
of action plan and follow-up to timely completion
•Responsible for the Pest Control program including compliance.
•Responsible, as a team member & communication point, for consumer
•Responsible for Environmental Affairs including compliance.
•Responsible for Regulatory Affairs including inspections conducted by
AIB-BRC, FDA, CT Ag & Mkts, CT Dept. of Public Health, Kosher
(Rabbinical, private & CT), CT DEC, US EPA, customer inspections.
•In the Food Safety Manager’s absence, the following employees would
fulfill the FSM’s responsibilities, in the following order:
o the Plant Manager,
o the Production Manager
Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent preferred. Must be
HACCP Certifiied. Food Defense Coordiinator Certification preferred.
Proven leader with labor relations experience. Must have an advance
knowledge of cleaning, pest cotrol issues, pesticides, mold assessment and
sanitation inspections. Knowledge of FDA regulations and
requirements. Must have good interpersonal, written and verbal
