Food Laboratory Technician –
Denver, CO
Job Title: Food Laboratory Technician Location: South Denver,
CO Job Type: 6 month contract to perm Pay Type: $15.00 per hour
The successful candidate
will prepare laboratory prototypes for new and existing frozen food
products for a Product Development Group. Work with minimal supervision in
the laboratory or manufacturing facility to prepare samples and prototypes.
• Prepare prototypes in
product development laboratory following set specifications. • Assist Food
Technologists in preparing and/or evaluating experimental ingredients or
formulas in the lab. • Run and assist in plant trials with minimal
supervision. • Evaluate lab formulas effectively and problem solve as
necessary. • Conduct routine analytical tests. • Maintain a well-documented
and detailed laboratory notebook. • Receive, inventory, and assist in
ordering raw materials and finished products. • Compile and organize
scientific data based on objectives of a specific project. • Effectively
communicate results both orally and via laboratory notebook. • Pack and
ship sales samples, market research samples, ingredient samples. • Assist
in the scheduling and coordination of lab duties and projects.
High School diploma is
required. BS or AA in sciences is preffered.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years
experience in a laboratory environment. • Experience with statistics and
computers. • Demonstrated ability and skills in laboratory methodology. •
Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills to work
effectively in a close knit organization. • Possess strong oral and written
communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of management.
• Strong organizational skills.
