 HACCP/Food Safety Specialist  

 

  At Armour-Eckrich Meats LLC—part of the John Morrell Food Group--

Currently we are seeking a HACCP/Food Safety Specialist for our facility in Peru, IN. 

Key areas of responsibilities are maintaining HACCP plans and prerequisite programs, SQF, training plant personnel on quality topics, ensuring compliance of company procedures and policies, pre-shipment reviews, validation studies, report on deficiencies for GMP’s and SSOP’s, assist on customer audits and issues, back-up duties for micro technician, and any other duties deemed necessary by QA management.

College degree required preferably in Food Science or related field.  
•Two years quality experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. 
•Good planning, organizational, problem solving, and people skills.
•Developed verbal and written communication
•Understanding of quality control processes related to the food processing industry.
•Team player, self starter, motivator, goal oriented, strategic thinker
•Worker safety oriented
•Understanding Quality Process Control, S.Q.F., and HACCP
