To build IKEA
FOOD safety in your country together with your colleagues to reach the goal
for IKEA FOOD to help the IKEA store sell more IKEA home furnishings
products and support the IKEA position as the leading home furnishings
company. Among other tasks, this involves generating store traffic,
converting visitors to customers, contribute to a day out for the whole
family, strengthen the low-price profile and the
Swedish identity of the IKEA store.
You have overall responsibility in
the country for food safety within IKEA FOOD and ensure that IKEA FOOD
operates in accordance with legislation and IKEA Food Safety Policy.
ASSIGNMENT (main
responsibilities): v You have the responsibility of
coordinating food safety in your country. v Develop and manage working routines for
HACCP within your country. v Ensure compliance of global IKEA Food
Safety policy and adapt it as needed to meet national and local
legislation. v Work in conjunction with the external
food safety audit company to ensure all stores are meeting our latest food
safety goals. Update the audit and HACCP plan as needed. v Report country result of external food
safety audits to IKEA Food Services AB twice per year.. v Randomly attend external food safety
audits. v Make random and unannounced food safety checks
in the stores. v Organize planned and random
microbiological and other product analyses from the stores and report to
IKEA Food Services AB. v Build relationships with relevant
national and local authorities, auditors and suppliers. v Where necessary establish a relationship
with external companies to ensure and manage label compliance.
v Support/inform IKEA Food Services AB on
current and upcoming national labeling requirements v Ensure to keep updated and current on
upcoming national legislation pertaining to food safety. v Support/inform IKEA Food Services AB on
current and upcoming national food safety legislation. v Lead by example and coach the Store
managers, IKEA FOOD Managers and Team Leaders in the stores to follow up on
food safety in the daily work. v Ensure that IKEA Food Safety training
programs,( i.e. e-learning ) are implemented and
followed in cooperation with the stores. v Initiate and develop Food Safety
Training and development programs based upon the needs. Cooperate with IKEA
Food Services AB, IKEA FOOD Learning & development Specialist and HR. v Ensure that good practices and good
ideas relating to Food Safety are collected and communicated to IKEA FOOD
in the stores and IKEA Food Services AB. v Ensure an effective and efficient
information flow, securing that key central information is understood by
all IKEA FOOD co-workers. Coordinate the communication between IKEA FOOD in
the country, IKEA Food Services AB, Stores and Suppliers. v Support and advise IKEA FOOD Range &
Purchasing Specialist and IKEA Food Services AB on Quality and Environment
related issues. These include food safety, allergens, nutrition, labeling,
ingredients, etc. v Support the Range and Purchasing Manager
in ensuring that all suppliers are HACCP/ISO/BCI certified or hold other
relevant certification. v Support the Range and Purchasing Manager
in ensuring implementation, approval and follow up of IWAY on Purchasing
food for national/local suppliers, and report status to IKEA Food Services
AB. v Support the Range and Purchasing Manager
in ensuring the complete range is in compliance with National / Local
legislation and IKEA FOOD requirements in the areas of Quality and
Environment. v Ensure that all IKEA FOOD co-workers are
familiar with CASY (incident reporting). v Ensure that the IKEA FOOD Management
Team knows how to act if an incident occurs through the Emergency
Management Team. v Initiate and follow up on investigations
related to incidents concerning national and international range. v Ensure that all National / Local
licenses, related to operating a food service establishment, are in place
for the IKEA FOOD business v Work closely with IKEA FOOD Managers,
Kitchen Production Team Leaders, IKEA Food Services AB, Store Managers,
external service providers and authorities to ensure a positive development
of Food Safety in the country. v Contribute in the development of IKEA
FOOD through participating in international projects and meetings. v Contribute to the development and
implementation of the IKEA FOOD and National Business Plans Assume responsibility for
projects and tasks as they occur.
Knowledge/Experience:
3+ years IKEA FOOD management
and/or work experience or education in the area of food safety. Knowledge of the IKEA Concept
including our Vision and Business Idea, our Culture and Values and how we
create our business advantages. v In depth knowledge around food quality
in general and national food safety in particular. v Clear understanding of the key audit and
follow up tools that can be used to develop the store and the business.
These include the Food Safety Audit, Customer Satisfaction Index, Function
Review, the VOICE co-worker survey and P&L reports. Clear understanding of our key
strategies including the long term strategy of IKEA, IKEA FOOD business
priorities, and Retail Business Directions, among others. Knowledge of relevant IKEA
concept guidelines and manuals. Knowledge of the IKEA
organization and how it works, including matrix partners and networks. v Able to speak and understand both verbal
and written English at Business level. v Computer literate
