Research Technician (Food Science/Gas Chromatography)

Volt is looking to hire a talented and motivated individual seeking research experience in an industrial nutritional/food structure setting. The hired individual will be working on the digestibility of carbohydrate-, starch-, protein-, and lipids, using in vitro models. Typical tasks for this position include: assisting in the preparation and running of experiments, recording, analysis, and reporting data; preparation of solutions; maintenance and cleaning of lab space and equipment; other duties as required.

Requirements:
  

  • Education: Bachelors' degree in Nutritional Sciences or a closely related field (analytical science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, food science).
  • Required: good laboratory skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team as well as independently, competent with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Desired: understanding of enzyme assays, experience with Gas Chromatography, spectrophotometry.
