Description

 

Work with faculty to set up and coordinate demonstrations for laboratory sessions. Assist with pilot laboratory testing for companies, graduate, and undergraduate students. Supervise students who will be working in the pilot laboratory.

Qualifications

 

Required:

         Bachelor's degree.

         Minimum of one year experience putting together unit operations such as thermal processing equipment and drying operations.

         Understanding of microbiology, chemistry, and engineering concepts in the preparation of food products.

         Ability to drive a fork lift.

         Word processing and MS Excel computer skills.

Preferred:

         Bachelor's degree in Food Science.

Additional Information:

         A background check will be required for employment in this position.

         Ability to lift and carry 50-80 pounds frequently and up to 100+ pounds occasionally.

         Occasional overtime is required in this position.

         FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime)

         Retirement Eligibility: PERF Contributions Immediately
