Food Science Developer/Consultant - California

Specialty Food Manufacturer dedicated to delivering premium quality gourmet foods is seeking a Product Development Consultant to assist their R&D staff. The successful candidate will have experience taking a product from the development stage to mass production.

Responsibilities
Development of new product formulas from a primary recipe engineering up to the level of mass production within 4 months.
Ability to work with other departments to meet goals for quality, sensory, and microbiology within cost budget.
Coordinate pilot plant test runs.
Reverse engineering of competitor products.
Assist with existing product lines.

Required skills:

Qualifications
BS or MS in Food Science or related.
3-10+ years of experience in food product development (sauces, dips, pasta experience a plus)
